What a moderator can do in AI Hub, and what stays with an admin.

Written by Tanner Brumbarger

A moderator can review submitted use cases and edit, publish, take down, restore, and archive them in the organization. A moderator cannot change who the moderators are.

You get this access when an administrator grants it, including when your department is added as a moderator group. Org admins already review through their role.

What a moderator can do

  • Approve and publish a new use case, send a new use case back, or decline a proposed change. The step-by-step instructions on how this is set up are in: For Admins | How to Curate your AI Hub.

  • Edit a use case, including who can see it.

  • Publish a use case, and take a live use case down.

  • Open Version History and restore an older version so that content becomes live as a new version.

  • Archive a use case.

The Use Case Queue

What a moderator cannot do

  • Change the moderation policy, or choose the next moderators. Manage Approvals on Queue opens the Moderation policy, and that screen is for people who can manage the approval policy.

  • Remove an org admin from review. Org admins always have that access.

  • Delete a use case.

  • Resubmit a draft you sent back. The submitter starts a new use case from AI Hub.

Common questions

Why can I review use cases now?

An administrator made you a use case moderator in that organization's AI Hub.

Subject: You can now review use cases in [organization name] AI Hub. The email says you can review, approve, reject, and edit use cases your team submits. Select Open review queue to go to the queue.

You receive this when you are newly granted moderator access, including when your department is added. You do not get it when access is removed, or when the same people are saved again with no new grant. If you granted the access to yourself, you are not mailed. If your account is deactivated, we don't send the email.

If something is waiting, you may also get a morning email. It is not sent on days when Queue is empty. The subject line and who else receives it are in For Admins | How to Curate your AI Hub.
